A certain company that hired people to work an event Friday and Saturday treated their temporary employees like garbage. Almost 6 hours standing Friday & no breaks. Six hours Saturday (promised ten + snacks and meals) no breaks, no meals. Making huge amounts of money doesn’t mean you can treat people this way. Letting the over age 40 workers go first was simply ignorant. I definitely will never work or support your business in the future.

Appalled at the lack of safety equipment at the Skateboard event on Canada Day.  No helmets, pads, etc.  One guy did a flip and knocked himself unconscious when he landed on his head.  Hope he wasn’t hurt.  This is a city facility…hope there was no liability!!

In my day when somebody said they were going to do something, they darn well did it. Note to contractors – when you say you are going to call me back, do it. If you are too busy, say you are too busy. Honest… I can take bad news.

Ordered online and one of my items were not included in the order. It is really frustrating as the company says it was in the order and I have to wait a week for an audit to take place. Maybe this is why shopping local is such a good idea!

So happy to see that summer is finally going to start! The rain has been nice, but temps in the 30s will be way nicer!
