MacPherson receives invite to Florida Panthers camp

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman has received an invite to a National Hockey League development camp.

Dylan MacPherson will be attending the Florida Panthers camp later this summer, the Tigers announced on Wednesday. The Redcliff native is the first local player to receive an invite to an NHL camp since Curtis Valk.

“I was excited, it’s a big jump but to get recognized and be able to go to an NHL Camp is a great feeling,” MacPherson told the Tigers in an interview on Tuesday.

In 67 games this season, MacPherson scored four goals and recorded 18 assists for 22 points.
