Hat High badminton players qualify for provincials

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Five members of the Medicine Hat High School Mohawks will be heading to badminton provincials later this week.
During the Southern Alberta Zone Championships in Lethbridge on Friday, five players took home silver medals, allowing them to qualify for provincials.
James Nguyen will represent Hat High in singles competition, while teams consisting of Sam Nygaard and Tony Nguyen, as well as Rouvic Magwali and Phoebe Gamao will take part in the doubles competition.
Provincials run Friday and Saturday in Grimshaw, Alberta.
