LETHBRIDGE, AB – The goals kept coming for the Medicine Hat Can Pak Environmental Midget Hounds on Friday night, winning their second game at SCAHL South Playoffs.

Medicine Hat, coming off a 7-3 win over the Taber Golden Suns in their first game, dominated the Okotoks AA Oilers in the first period with goals from Austin Klimosko and Zachery Dovichak.

Matt Lafferty, Desmond Crawford, and Dovichak piled on three more goals in a 10 minute span to open the second period to stake the Hounds to a 5-0 lead over the Oilers.

Okotoks’ Andrew Bonham scored shorthanded less than a minute into the third period to get the Oilers team on the board, but the Hounds were able to ride out the rest of the game to earn a 5-1 win.

Medicine Hat outshot Okotoks by a count of 29-23, while Hounds goaltender Aiden Kruger was superb with just one goal allowed in a 22-save performance.

One game left in the round-robin for the Hounds, as they hit the ice against the Foothills Bisons at 5:15 pm on Saturday.
