MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Can Pak Environmental Hounds split a double header this weekend.

In Midget AA action, The Hounds crushed the NWCAA Bruins by a score of 10-2 on Saturday. Carson Dingwall got things started at 4:49 of the first period. Zachery Dovichak added two goals in the second to give the Hounds a 3-1 lead through 40 minutes. The third period was all Hounds as they would outscore the Bruins 7-1 in the final frame.

However Sunday, the script flipped on the Hounds as they were dominated 8-1 by the CNHA Canucks. The Hounds only goal was scored by Martin Watz with Austin Klimosko getting the lone assist. Aidan Kruger was peppered with 42 shots in the loss.

The Hounds have a chance to put the 8-1 loss behind them next Saturday in Brooks, where they will play Calgary’s CNHA Blazers. Puck drop is at 2:30 PM at the Centennial Arena. They will finish up in Okotoks with a matchup against the Oilers on Sunday.
