Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – November 16

Mad Hatter
Why do we have to suffer with more taxes because of the city’s failed transit plan? Maybe if they had thought this out better we wouldn’t be forced to pay more taxes on something we didn’t want to change in the first place.

Mad Hatter
People need to STOP tailgating so much!! It is winter. It is ICEY. Unless you want to replace the bonnet on your car, check yourself and use that brake of yours.

Mad Hatter
And here I was thinking snow was the worst of the weather for road conditions. Nope, this warm weather to cold weather that froze all the slush is awful! Why doesn’t Medicine Hat have a better plan for taking care of the snow and ice on the roads? They haven’t been back around to sand or salt so why not just plow all the main suburb roads in the first place?!

Mad Hatter
Mad that the City is yet again raising user fees. Mad that we have a council who are focused on achieving a financially fit city by making it more expensive to live here. Maybe focus on addressing excess bureaucracy, reducing city building operating costs, or finding alternate ways to add to the city’s revenues, rather than continually increasing fees for skaters, swimmers, and senior’s meals.

Mad Hatter
Mad that there is so much misinformation being spread about the GSA legislation – as a society we should be more concerned with the health and safety of our LGBTQ+ youth and ensuring they have a safe space to be themselves, rather than focusing on the crazy fears a few people have – fueled by the UCP party – about LGBTQ+ people. It is 2017, not 1950.

Happy Hatter
Congrats to our rodeo gal who was crowned Miss Rodeo Canada 2018!!! That is fantastic news. Making our little city proud!

Mad Hatter
Recycle at your own risk! Sand should be put out around the recycling bins, very treacherous with the all the ice.

Mad Hatter
When are they going to do something with Box Springs Blvd? There haven’t been lines on that street in years, let alone the state of the actual pavement. You could get sea sick going down that road. We have a new arena, a new hotel, not to mention how many other new businesses out there – plus another hotel, restaurant and potentially the casino on the way – and the road to access this all is a joke!
