REDCLIFF, AB — A local couple is celebrating after winning money in a Extradraw in July.
Blaine and Stephanie Vachon of Redcliff won $250,000 on a Lotto Max and Extra draw, their first major lottery win. According to a news release issued by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. The couple initially believed they had won $250 when they went to check the ticket for the draw on July 14,.
Later, when the couple checked a mobile app, they realized there were more zeroes in their winnings than they initially thought.
According to the release, the couple says they plan to use their winnings to pay off their mortgage and save for retirement.
