Dangerous driving charges laid after incident on Terrace View NE

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A 27-year-old man is facing dangerous driving charges after a white pickup truck attempted to run over a group of people early Sunday morning.

Officers say it happened around 1:30 a.m. on Terrace View NE after a dispute had occurred.

Police say one person was dragged several feet and suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the truck was found at his home. Officers attempted to arrest him, but he refused to come out. A warrant was obtained and he was taken into custody.

He’s facing several other charges, including assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

A bail hearing has been set for later today.

A second man, a 19-year-old, was also arrested to obstruction of a police officer in connection to the incident.
