REDCLIFF, AB — The Town of Redcliff is gearing up for its busiest weekend.

Redcliff Days got underway Friday, featuring museum tours, downtown business sales, as well as live music and a street dance on Third Street.

“We’re very excited about this year,” said Carla Spampinato, the organizer of the event. “The weather is supposed to be pretty decent, so we’re really excited.”

Saturday is the busiest day of the event, and gets underway at 7:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at Redcliff Home Hardware.

Throughout the day, there will be activities for kids in Memorial Park, monster truck rides near Main Street, a show and shine in Lions Park, along with sales and food trucks throughout the town.

“There’s a huge community buzz,” said Spampinato, who is organizing the event for the first time. “I’ve been really impressed by everyone’s attitude and excitement, especially from business owners and residents feel towards Redcliff Days.”

“Everyone really works hard together, and we couldn’t do it without everyone’s excitement.”

Saturday wraps up with a fireworks display at 11 p.m.

Redcliff Days officially ends Sunday with a free Father’s Day swim at the town’s Aquatic Centre starting at 1 p.m.
