City committee considers hotel development near Visitor Centre

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A land sale near the Saamis TePee dominates the agenda at the development and infrastructure committee meeting today.

The committee is being asked to approve the sale of nearly four acres of land between the Moose Ball Park and the Visitor Information Centre on Gehring Road to a bidder. The buyer, listed in documents as Pukhraj Harpjaap Alberta Limited, intends to build a hotel, gas bar and convenience store on the property.

The committee will discuss the decision at 3:50 p.m.
