One dead, one injured in shooting north of Montreal, Quebec police say
MIRABEL, Que. — Quebec provincial police were combing a rural road north of Montreal on Thursday where two men were shot inside a car, with one succumbing to his wounds.
Two men called the local police in Mirabel, about 65 kilometres north of Montreal, for help after taking refuge in the parking lot of a gas station near Highway 15 late Wednesday.
A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead while another man, 40, was transported to hospital with serious injuries and is expected to survive.
Provincial police were called in to take over the investigation and have determined there were two scenes as the shooting took place a few kilometres away.
