No Stone Left Alone brings Medicine Hat students together to honour fallen soldiers
Students from two schools in the Medicine Hat Public School Division gathered at Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday to honour fallen soldiers as part of the annual No Stone Left Alone Remembrance Day event.
The ceremony brought together leadership students from Crescent Heights High School, elementary students from Elm Street School, YMCA daycare children, local veterans, and volunteers.
The students visited the cemetery’s Field of Honour, where soldiers are buried, for a ceremony that included opening remarks, the national anthem, a land acknowledgement and readings.
Students committed to remember those who served before a wreath was laid, followed by poppies placed on soldiers’ graves.
