VANCOUVER — Vancouver Rise striker Jessica De Filippo has been named the Northern Super League’s Forward of the Year.

The honour comes after the 25-year-old forward from Montreal won the Golden Boot with a league-leading 13 goals over 25 regular-season games.

She also contributed four assists in her second season with the Rise.

De Filippo proved her scoring prowess this summer, scoring five goals in five games between mid-July and mid-August, with back-to-back braces in outings against the Calgary Wild and Halifax Tides.

The defending NSL champion Rise began their 2026 playoff campaign with a 3-0 loss to the Montreal Roses on Nov. 1 and will play the back half of the two-legged semifinal series away at Stade Boreal on Sunday.

The NSL final will be held in Ottawa on Nov. 14.
