Jul 2, 2026 | 9:31 AM

The City of Medicine Hat is accepting applications for the Community Project and Activities stream of its Community Vibrancy Grant program, with $55,000 available to support eligible initiatives taking place in 2027.

Applications will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Aug. 28.

The funding is intended to support community projects and activities that bring residents together, encourage participation and contribute to community well-being.

“The City of Medicine Hat understands the vital role community projects and activities play in bringing people together,” acting director of community development Aaron Nelson said in a statement.

“They enrich daily life, encourage engagement, and cultivate a strong sense of belonging in a community that is caring, inviting, resilient, and abundant with opportunities.”

Nelson said the city values the long-term benefits previous grant recipients have brought to the community and hopes to see that continue through projects funded in 2027.

Applicants are encouraged to fully read the City’s grant funding guidelines and criteria to ensure their project and application meet the program objectives and eligibility criteria.
