Medicine Hat Police investigate high-speed crash that leaves motorcyclist seriously injured
A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a high-speed collision at a Medicine Hat intersection on Tuesday afternoon.
Medicine Hat Police Service, along with fire and EMS crews, were called to the intersection of Crestwood Drive S.E. and Carry Drive S.E. at about 2:34 p.m. on June 17, 2026.
Officers said a motorcycle was travelling up Scholten Hill at high speed when the rider lost control, crossed the centre line at the crest of the hill and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
