Medicine Hat Police Service host open house to showcase operations and honour student leaders
The Medicine Hat Police Service is hosting a community open house aimed at giving residents a closer look at police operations and community programs, while also recognizing 22 local Grade 6 students for leadership, citizenship and community involvement.
The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 13 and will feature demonstrations, informational displays and guided tours of the police building.
In partnership with the open house, the Medicine Hat Safe Community Association will host a barbecue, while the students from local elementary schools will receive awards through the Chief Gord Earl Leadership Legacy Fund.
Established in 2008 to honour former police chief Gord Earl and his contributions to the community, the fund recognizes Grade 6 students who demonstrate the Medicine Hat Police Service’s core values of integrity, respect, courage and accountability, along with leadership and citizenship.
