Medicine Hat Tigers aim to regain home ice advantage in Game 3

Mar 31, 2026 | 11:05 AM

With the Eastern Conference quarter-finals now a best-of-five, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to regain home-ice advantage alongside the series lead tonight in Game 3 against the Regina Pats.

After a 6-2 Game 1 victory, the Tigers suffered their first defeat of the postseason in Game 2, only mustering two goals in the loss.

The story of Game 2 was Regina netminder Marek Schlenker, who made 21 saves for his first career playoff win.

In games one and two, the Tigers have combined for 14 penalty minutes, including a pair of four-minute double minors.

Despite 11 penalty kills in the opening two games, the Tigers have not allowed a power-play goal.

Medicine Hat was without Cam Parr and Luke Cozens for games one and two, but it remains to be seen if they will make their Orange and Black playoff debut(s) tonight.

The Tigers did not trail at all in a series last year on their run to their sixth WHL Championship, and they will look to avoid going down 2-1 in the series tonight in Game 3.

Puckdrop is set for 7:00 p.m. MST from the Brandt Centre.

The pre-game show gets underway at 6:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
