Medicine Hat’s Shigehiro named MVP at Alberta Senior Bowl

Keene Shigehiro was the lone Medicine Hat football player taking part in the 35th annual Football Alberta Senior Bowl on Sunday.

The running back also factored in as a key contributor in Team South’s 19-13 victory over Team North with 120 yards on eight carries and one catch for nine yards during the game.

The game featured 80 of the top Grade 12 high school football players from the province in an All-Star Game format.

Keene Shigehiro is the lone representative from Medicine Hat at the event this year, which showcases the top graduating high school players in the province in an All-Star Game.

Shigehiro completed his final season with the Medicine Hat High School Hawks football team and plans to play University football in Canada in the fall.
