EVICTION

Fitness location at the Medicine Hat Mall evicted

Jan 1, 2026 | 10:34 PM

Iron Nation at the Medicine Hat Mall had an eviction notice posted on its doors Tuesday morning.

The notice from Primaris, which owns the mall, detailed that rent had not been paid on Dec. 17, 2025, and notice of the Lease for the Premises was terminated effective Dec. 30, 2025.

This comes less about nine months after the location opened in March 2025.

The letter posted on the door also went on to state that the termination was without prejudice to, and shall not limit, any claims to which the Landlord is entitled for costs or damages in respect to loss of Rent and other income the Landlord expected to derive during the period which would otherwise have constituted the unexpired remainder of the term of the Lease.

It continued to say that Primaris would not be limited to any claims to which the Landlord is entitled for costs or damages it may incur as a result of property damage caused by the Tenant to the Premise.

The removal of all inventory, trade fixtures, and personal belongings from the Premise is to be completed by Jan. 12, 2026, according to the letter.

The letter continued that failure to do so would deem that property as abandoned and would be disposed of as the Landlord sees fit, with the costs able to be included in the Landlord’s claim.

Primaris was reached for comment, and they confirmed the closure of Iron Nation at the Medicine Hat Mall, but said that all information regarding this matter remains confidential.
