Tigers take on Hitmen, wrapping up four games in five nights

Nov 23, 2025 | 10:25 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are back on the road today as they head to Calgary to battle the Hitmen, concluding a four-game in five-night stretch.

The two clubs battled tooth and nail in a thrilling 7-6 shootout victory for the Tigers last night inside Co-op Place.

The game will mark the fifth matchup of the regular season between the teams, with Medicine Hat leading the head-to-head 3-1.

Calgary will aim to bounce back after blowing a three-goal second-period lead to the Tigers, who scored the final three goals of regulation to force the game to overtime.

The shootout win marked the eighth time the Tigers have gone to overtime, tied with the Victoria Royals for the most extra frame games in the Western Hockey League this season.

The Tabbies have an opportunity to secure points in every game of their four-in-five if they can secure at least one point this evening.

Medicine Hat will look to lean on the hot hand of forward Kadon McCann, who has found his stride offensively with four goals over his last four games.

McCann was named the first star in Wednesday night’s 6-2 win over the Hitmen in Calgary.

Puck drop is slated for 4:00 p.m. from the Scotiabank Saddledome, with the pregame show getting underway at 3:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
