Tigers welcome in Wheat Kings to conclude three game homestand

Nov 8, 2025 | 12:00 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers conclude their three-game homestand tonight against the Brandon Wheat Kings as the club looks to find the win column for the first time this month.

Medicine Hat enters with points in their last two games via overtime and shootout defeats to the Tri-City Americans and Edmonton Oil Kings.

Brandon enters Co-op place following an 8-7 defeat in an offensive slugfest in Lethbridge last night.

The Wheat Kings boast the league’s top power play, operating at around a 40 percent rate this season, but their penalty kill sits near the bottom of the WHL.

Brandon also boasts the league’s most potent offense, leading the WHL in goals per game this season.

The Wheat Kings have scored six or more goals in seven of their 16 games this season, going 5-2 in those games.

Wheat Kings second-year forward, Jaxon Jacobson, is second in the WHL in scoring, with 30 points through 15 games thus far.

Last season, the Tigers went 3-1 in four games against Brandon.

Medicine Hat will look to ride the hot hand of 19-year-old defenseman Jonas Woo, who has six points over his last three games, including four goals.

Puckdrop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. tonight from inside Co-op Place with the pre-game show beginning at 6:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
