Nov 1, 2025 | 5:35 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers dropped a 6-1 decision to the Edmonton Oil Kings Saturday afternoon inside Rogers Place.

Special teams proved the story of the game, with the Tigers heading to the penalty kill a staggering nine times, with Edmonton converting on three of the opportunities.

Jonas Woo got the lone goal of the game for the Tigers, scoring shorthanded 10:42 into the third period.

A two-goal effort from Landon Hanson alongside a four-point showing from Miroslav Holinka helped power the Edmonton offense.

Oil Kings netminder Ethan Simcoe was stellar, stopping 25 of 26 shots en route to being named the game’s third star.

Tigers netminder Jordan Switzer stopped 23 of 29 in the defeat.

The loss marks just the second time this season the Tigers have been held to one goal.

Medicine Hat will head back home to begin a three-game homestand that gets underway tomorrow afternoon against the Tri-City Americans.

Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. inside Co-op Place with the pregame show beginning at 3:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
