City of Medicine Hat to commemorate Veteran’s Crosswalk on Saturday

The City of Medicine Hat is inviting the public to attend a ceremonial event outside City Hall on Saturday to commemorate the recent installation of a Veterans’ Crosswalk in downtown Medicine Hat.

The Veterans’ Crosswalk is located between City Hall and Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Park, on the north side of the intersection of Sixth Avenue Southeast and First Street Southeast.

The crosswalk was installed this week.

The event will take place from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the plaza on the east side of City Hall near the crosswalk.

The roadway will remain open to minimize the disruption to downtown traffic.

This crosswalk was made possible through a request from Edward Devine, a member of the public .

Mr. Devine brought the request to the City administration, and the City Council approved a motion to support this request at the City Council Meeting on Sept. 15.
