Medicine Hat councilor candidate Faith focuses on housing, health care, and jobs as key priorities if elected
Councillor candidate Jodi Faith focuses on bringing housing, jobs, and health care to Medicine Hat if elected to council.
Faith said she wants to find better housing solutions because housing on a month-to-month basis is becoming difficult for people in the city.
“We’ve got a big, huge project going on over there [South Street Drive], which is going to be apartments, but it doesn’t say anywhere that it’s going to be affordable again, so I think we have to come up with some affordable housing solutions,” Faith said.
“Chinook Village is a non-profit running that entire housing project, and so people can get into their one-bedroom at $140,000, and their expenses all in for a month are less than $600 a month.”
