Maple Creek’s Parsonage wins bull riding at CFR

The Canadian Finals Rodeo wrapped up this weekend with Maple Creek’s Jared Parsonage taking top spot in bull riding with five successful rides.

He had rides of 85.25, 84, 87.5, 85.5, and 84 through the four days.

The 32-year-old took home $46,331.25 in winnings from the CFR to finish on top of the money list for the season with $78,100.46 earned at CFR-qualified events.

The Canadian champion was the only rider not to get bucked off during the event, with Jacob Gardner and Garrett Green both having three successful rides to place second and third.

Leader’s Grady Young finished in fourth place with rides of 88.25 and 87.5 during the event.

The 19-year-old earned $20,900.25 at the CFR, with $49,111.77 at CFR-qualified events.

Barrel racing had Lynette Broadway of Brooks finish in 8th spot.

In team roping, Devin Wigemyr of Brooks placed 3rd, while Rylan Brost of Consul finished in 6th.

Maple Creek’s Dayton Cronkhite won the aggregate in junior steer riding.

Also competing in junior steer riding was Maple Creek’s Cecil Baynton.
