Mar 11, 2025 | 12:46 PM
Brooks RCMP says an investigation is underway after 200 feet of copper wire was stolen from an irrigation pivot near Patricia.
The RCMP says it recognizes that copper theft continues to be an issue in across Alberta, particularly on farms and oil and gas sites.
“We recommend installing trail cameras near your machinery, including pivots, to assist in developing timelines and identifying suspects,” police said in a statement Tuesday.
It encourages people who witness suspicious activity to report it immediately by calling 911.
