That includes Medicine Hat, Bow Island, most of 40 Mile County and into Maple Creek and Cypress Hills regions too.

Ten to 15 cm of snowfall is expected, with as much as 25 cm in some areas, particularly over the Cypress Hills.

It will start at rain Tuesday morning morning and change over to snow very quickly as the temperature drops below zero.

Strong north winds gusting to 80 kilometers per hour will cause poor visibility in blowing snow throughout Tuesday.

Snowfall will end and winds will ease late Tuesday night.
