Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce holding annual leadership breakfast

The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual leadership breakfast later this month at Chinook Village.

The breakfast runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 22

While it used to be called the mayor’s breakfast, it has now evolved to include several more elected representatives important to Medicine Hat residents.

Premier Danielle Smith, local MP Glen Motz, Cypress-Medicine Hat MLA Justin Wright, Medicine Hat Mayor Linnsie Clark, Cypress reeve Dan Hamilton, Redcliff’s Dwight Kilpatrick and CFB Suffield chief Lt.-Col. Joe Andrechek have been invited.

The breakfast will be a town hall-style event that will offer attendees an opportunity to connect with the elected representatives and gain insight into their activities.

The chamber hosted a town hall with Smith, who also serves as the MLA for Brooks-Medicine Hat, earlier this year.

Smith at the May event said that Medicine Hat and the area around it has the potential to become a hub for data centres and remote workers, an opportunity that could define the future of industry in the region.
