Rattlers Valk wins Mens ACAC Golf Championship

Medicine Hat’s Michael Valk has won the Mens ACAC Golf Championship.

A member of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers golf team, Valk shot 12-under par through three rounds at Alberta Spring Golf Course in Red Deer.

Valk shot 4-under par 68 on Tuesday, after a 3-under par 69 on Monday and a 5-under par 67 on Sunday, holding down top spot in the tournament all three days.

He finished six strokes ahead of the competition and was one of only three golfers to shoot below par at the conclusion of three rounds.

The Medicine Hat College mens, mixed and womens teams all took home bronze.
