Cypress County placed under fire ban again

Cypress County is once again under a fire ban.

The lack of precipitation combined with the hot and dry conditions has led to the return of the ban.

All fire permits are cancelled as a result of the ban and no new burn permits will be issued.

Recreational fire pits are exempt during fire ban when the bylaw conditions are met within the defined hamlets of Cypress County.

Cypress County monitors the situation daily, and the county is always under at least an advisory from April 1 to October 31.
