Medicine Hat library seeking new teenage leaders for ‘TIC TAC’ committee
The Medicine Hat Public Library is looking for its next class of members for its teen services committee.
The Teens Initiating Change Together and Committed — TIC TAC — committee has been responsible for launching a youth adult book collection, the Youthopia space and a teen-focused area Honeycomb House.
Committee members learn leadership skills, enhancing job and post-secondary applications, help create a better community for their peers and get free swag, according to a description from the library.
Those who are 13-19 years old and in Grades 7-12, a library member and are able to spend about seven hours a month between the TIC TAC meeting and after hours teen events during the school year are eligible.
