Here is what’s on during the weekend of Aug. 16-18 in Medicine Hat and area:

🐈 Bottle drive for SPCA

Cats and dogs at Medicine Hat SPCA are without air conditioning after the A/C broke.

Rebark is hosting a bottle drive Friday, Saturday and Sunday to raise money to get the A/C fixed.

Every little bit helps to get the animals some cool relief, organizers said.

Those that want to help out can drop bottles off at Rebark from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Rebark is located at 1355 Brier Park Cres. NW.

🏒 Silent auction for Christian Doll

The Sticks Out Thumbs Up silent auction in support of Christian Doll, the 15-year-old who tragically passed away in July, is now underway.

Gift certificates to Big M Ford, roundtrip tickets on WestJet and a family photography package are among the many items up for auction.

All bidding is taking place in the Sticks Out Thumbs Up Silent Auction Facebook group.

🏖 Summer beach party

A summer beach party at Casa Amigos will feature DJ Zaga on Friday evening.

Reservation is required, according to an event page.

🎯 Darts in Redcliff

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 in Redcliff is holding its month darts tournament on Saturday.

Games begin at 10 a.m. sharp, organizers said.

🎉 Towne Square block party

The City of Medicine Hat’s Towne Square block parties continue this weekend.

Saturday’s edition of the block party will celebrate celebrating heritage.

The event runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. downtown.
