Medicine Hat’s Saamis Tepee renovations begin after long weekend
The Saamis Tepee in Medicine Hat is set to undergo a few renovations.
With a structural assessment on the tepee completed, repainting the entire structure is set to being May 21.
The Saamis Tepee is the world’s largest tepee, measuring 215 feet, the same height as a 20 story building. Originally constructed for the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics, the Tepee has been at it’s current site in Medicine Hat since late 1991. (Bob Schneider/CHAT News)
