Redcliff holding Christmas tree lighting community event on Friday

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Redcliff is back with its annual Christmas Tree Lightning and Winter Celebration.

Taking place Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Park, those who come can enjoy a hot dog, hot chocolate and stay warm around a fire, organizers said. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will also be present.

There’s will be an opportunity to get some local Black Friday shopping done.

Shops are staying open until 9 p.m. for the annual sales day — known in Redcliff as Moonlight Madness.

Who’s on Third and the Redcliff Hylton will be serving a featured Christmas cocktail for the occasion.
