Tigers open training camp this week

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A new month brings the start of a new season for the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Players will hit the ice for fall training camp on Friday, Sept. 1.

Split into Team Orange and Team Black, players will practice on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. before scrimmaging at 7 p.m. both days.

Training camp ends with the intra-squad Orange and Black game at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

All eligible players from last season will be at camp along with top prospect Gavin McKenna and Liam and Markus Ruck, twin brothers the Tigers picked in the first round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

All scrimmages and practices are open to the public.

The first pre-season game is in Lethbridge on Sept. 5. Their first home game is Sept. 9 against those same Hurricanes.

The regular season starts Sept. 22 in Calgary followed by the home opener Sept. 23 against the Hurricanes.
