Central Park begins reopening after irrigation work
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Parts of Kiwanis Central Park have reopened after being closed for more than two months.
“The splash park, naturalized play area, and basketball court are now open,” says the City of Medicine Hat in a release. “The amenity building will be opening the following week.”
The park has been closed as the city makes upgrades to the irrigation system.
Certain sections of the park will remain closed as the contractor finishes installing the new system and finalizes landscaping enhancements, including the hydroseeding of areas with poor turf conditions. The disc golf course and the blue whale playground will remain inaccessible until next spring.
