RCMP respond to seven calls involving suspected fentanyl overdoses in southwestern Saskatchewan
KINDERSLEY, Sask. – RCMP say they have responded to seven calls involving suspected fentanyl overdoses in an area of southwestern Saskatchewan.
Mounties say three people died, with the other four requiring officers to administer naloxone to resuscitate them.
RCMP say the deaths happened on May 14, July 4 and July 12 in the Kindersley area, about 250 kilometres northeast of Medicine Hat.
Police suspect the drugs are fentanyl made in a crystal-like form, sometimes tinted with a red or purple colour.
