New location, new name for Madhatter Roastery

MEDICINE HAT, AB – If you went for a cup of coffee or a sweet treat at Madhatter Roastery downtown today you would have found the store closed. It’s going to be that way for at least a few days as the store moves across the street.
Madhatter is moving from 513 Third St. SE into the former Tim Hortons location at 550 Third St. and hopes to be open on Monday.
The popular local coffeeshop has been promoting the move on its social media platforms. Along with the move to the larger space the cafe and roastery will also have a new name and brand.
They’re not revealing much yet but say in a Facebook post that “In deciding the new name, we wanted to bring merriment, curiosity + aspiration while maintaining the feeling of home and family; a place of earnestness and kindness. This business has been all of these things in our own lives, and many of yours as well, and we can’t wait to wrap up all that goodness into a new name and brand look.”
