Home ice didn’t do either team any favours in the Family Day weekend home-and-home between the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Red Deer Rebels.

The Tigers dumped the Rebels 4-1 on Monday in Red Deer, splitting the series after the Rebels bested the Tigers 5-4 in overtime on Saturday in Medicine Hat.

Leading goal-scorer Brendan Lee opened and closed the scoring for the Tabbies, netting his 23rd and 24th goals of the season. In between those Andrew Basha and Cayden Lindstrom also scored for Medicine Hat. Kai Uchacz scored his 44th goal of the season for the Rebels.

Beckett Langkow made 16 stops to pick up his 20th win of the season.

The Tigers now sit eighth in the Eastern Conference.

Next up for the Tigers is a road game against the Regina Pats on Wednesday. You can hear the call of the game on Wild 94.5 with voice of the Tigers Gino De Paoli. Puck drop is at 6 p.m. MT.

The Tigers return home to face the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday night.
