Albertans wanting to travel in 2023
Medicine Hat, AB–A new study from Blue Cross reveals Albertans are eager to get back to travelling.
Blue Cross, which provides emergency medical travel insurance as well as other related products such as trip interruption and baggage insurance, undertook a national survey at the end of 2022. More than 2,000 Canadians were asked about their travel intentions for this year.
Brian Geislinger, Vice President of Corporate Relations with Alberta Blue Cross says “more than three quarters of Albertans say they intend to travel this year after several years of missing out on travel due to the pandemic.”
The biggest reason people are wanting to travel is to seeking better weather. However, there are lingering concerns about travel related issues such as flight cancellations, lost baggage, and medical emergencies requiring medical attention.
