JBS contributing money to the college for automation training
Medicine Hat, AB–Medicine Hat College and JBS Canada are teaming up to offer automation training to employees and future students.
JBS is contributing $250,000 from its Hometown Strong program to help the college develop and deliver automation training at the Brooks campus.
The training will provide valuable new skills and enhance career opportunities. “As a Comprehensive Community College, our role at MHC is about engaging with the region, providing access, and serving learners. We can’t do that without exceptional partners like JBS,” says Kevin Shufflebotham, president and CEO.
The President of JBS Global, David Colwell was at the Brooks campus for the announcement. Colwell said, “we’ve done multiple collaborations with MHC, with multiple different programs. We’ve got ideas as the plant continues to change and we’re bringing those ideas here to develop something together.”
