Danielle Smith wins by-election in Brooks-Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, AB–It’s a big victory for Danielle Smith as she has won the by-election in Brooks-Medicine Hat.

Smith started off the night with an early lead and maintained that throughout the night although at times the NDP’s Gwendoline Dirk was trailing her by about 14-hundred votes.

The win will give her a seat in the legislature. Smith last held a seat in 2015.

Smith is in Medicine Hat tonight and will be addressing supporters via her facebook page.
