VAUXHALL, AB – The MD of Taber is advising residents about an issue with the water in Vauxhall.

Officials with the Municipal District say those living in Vauxhall might notice a difference in the odour and taste of their drinking water. They say the current situation “does not represent a health hazard.”

The Vauxhall and District Regional Water Services Commission is assuring residents that the water is safe to consume and “meets all safety standards set out by Alberta Environment and Parks.”

The Vauxhall Water Treatment Plant and its operators are working to fix the issue as soon as possible by applying the appropriate treatment methods to improve the drinking water.

On social media, the MD of Taber said, “We ask for your patience and thank you for your cooperation during this time as the problem may persist for several days until the circulating water is renewed.”
