Medicine Hat’s water bottle fill stations pilot project under review

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With the warm weather coming to an end, so has Medicine Hat’s water bottle fill stations pilot project.

The program was implemented to provide drinking water where access was limited in the city. The water provided to the public was the same water that is distributed to businesses and households and does undergo the same testing.

Whether this project has been beneficial will only be determined once the city conducts meter readings, gets community feedback and does a cost-benefit analysis.

These are the factors that will determine whether the program continues next year.

Second Street SE between South Railway Street SE and Sixth Avenue SE

Fifth Street SE & Sixth Avenue SE
