Light plane crashes on Sunset Drive SW

MEDICINE HAT — Transport Canada is sending a team to Medicine Hat to investigate the crash of a light plane on Monday.

Not much is being said at the moment but CHAT News has confirmed a few details of the unexpected landing in a Medicine Hat backyard.

The aircraft took off from Schlenker Airport just south of Desert Blume.

It came to rest around 8:30 p.m. about five kilometres away in the back of a residence under construction at 119 Sunset Dr. SW overlooking Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course.
