Good Samaritan assaulted and has truck stolen for his troubles

BROOKS — A Good Samaritan who stopped to check on a pick up truck that hit the ditch near Brooks yesterday morning, was assaulted by the occupants and had his truck taken.

It happened on Highway 1A outside Brooks around 8:35 yesterday morning.

RCMP were able to arrest a 29 year old woman but are still looking for a 30 year old male suspect, along with the stolen truck.

A number of additional RCMP resources have been deployed in the Brooks area.
