Local MLA weighs in on Restriction Exemption Program, caucus calls for premier’s resignation

Following anger reported within the United Conservative Party caucus over COVID-19 measures, Brooks-Medicine Hat MLA Michaela Frey is calling for unity among fellow UCP MLAs.
Alberta’s environment minister was one of a dozen UCP MLAs who called this week for an end to the Restrictions Exemptions Program.
As well, there are reports Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul MLA David Hanson is upset with delays to the program’s cancellation, and as a result, is calling for Premier Jason Kenney’s resignation.
