Volunteers needed at Bow Island Health Centre

BOW ISLAND, AB – The Bow Island Health Centre needs volunteers to spend time with patients and residents in long-term care.

Alberta Health Services says volunteers are needed during the day to help with bingo games, playing cards, applying nail polish and visiting with patients and residents.

“Each and every day, dedicated volunteers are engaged in meaningful activities and roles that enhance the patient experience,” reads a release from AHS. “Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common: a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives and healthcare experiences of patients, residents, clients and their families.”

Volunteers are required to show their proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
