MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat is issuing another safety warning about Water World Tubs.

In a release, the city says residents and businesses who received service from Water World Tubs, also known as Water World 2062939 ALBERTA LTD., should contact the city.

“Anyone who has had a hot tub, spa or swimming pool installed, removed, repaired or otherwise serviced by this company between January 2017 and November 2021 should immediately discontinue use and contact the City’s Planning and Development Services department by email at pbe@medicinehat.ca or by phone at 403-529-8374,” reads the release.

Callers are required to provide their name, address, phone number and relevant service dates. An inspection may be required and will be provided at no cost if deemed necessary.

If life safety issues are identified, repairs will be required and must be completed by an appropriately licensed contractor at the property owner’s expense.

The release notes the safety notice only applies to services provided by Water Worlds Tubs.

A similar warning about the same company was issued one year ago.
