Highway 41 closed in both directions due to serious car accident

UPDATE 6P.M.- In a post on Facebook, officials in Cypress County said the road is expected to reopen by 9p.m.

UPDATE: RCMP on scene say the road is expected to be closed for approximately another five hours. Vehicles are being detoured along Township Road 154 and Range Road 23.

Police say a motor vehicle and semi-truck were involved in the accident. The condition of the occupants is unknown at this point

Earlier today Cypress County posted on Facebook that HALO air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.
